How to Measure Your Old Shirt for Fit Profile
One way to create your custom fit profile is to measure an old shirt of yours that fits you well. We’ll guide you through the measuring process below.
COLLAR
Unbutton and lay out your shirt. Spread the collar flat and as horizontal as possible. Measure from the collar button stitch on the left to the end of the button hole on the right. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 15.75″ at the collar.

SHOULDER
Fully button up your shirt on the front. Flip it so the back faces upwards. Flatten out the shirt entirely. Measure from the top left end of the shoulder piece to the top right end of the shoulder piece. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 17.5″ at the shoulder.

FRONT LENGTH
Flip your shirt to the front. Make sure it’s fully buttoned on the front. Flatten out the shirt entirely. Find the connection between the right shoulder piece and the right side of the collar. This point is usually below the collar when its folded down (as in pic). Measure from that corner point straight to the end of the shirt on its longer end. Round your measurement to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 29.5″ in length.

CHEST
Flatten out your shirt around the chest area. You may need to stretch the shirt a little by holding onto each side of the arm pits. Then flatten out the shirt on its front entirely. Measure from the end of one arm pit to the other. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 19.75″ at the chest.

WAIST
Flatten out your shirt around the waist area. You may need to stretch the shirt a little by holding onto each side of the waist. Then flatten out the shirt on its front entirely. Measure from the end of the left seam to the right seam. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 18″ at the waist.

HIP
Flatten out your shirt around the hip area. Simply make sure the right flap of the shirt just covers the left flap underneath it. Measure from the end of the left seam to the right seam. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 20.75″ at the hip.

SLEEVE LENGTH
Flatten out the right sleeve. You may need to give it a slight stretch by holding onto the end of the shoulder piece and the end of the cuff. Make sure the sleeve is laid out flat and straight. Measure from the end of the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 23.5″ for sleeve length.

ARM
Flatten out the right sleeve. You may need to give it a slight stretch by holding onto the top of the sleeve and the seam on the underside. Find the point where your bicep lies. Measure perpendicular from that point to the bottom of the flattened sleeve. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 7″ at the arm.

ELBOW
Flatten out the right sleeve. You may need to give it a slight stretch by holding onto the top of the sleeve and the seam on the underside. Find the midway point of your sleeve. Easiest way to do this is dividing the sleeve length by half. Measure perpendicular from the midway point to the bottom of flattened sleeve. Round your measurement up to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 6.25″ at the elbow.

CUFF
Unbutton and flatten out the right cuff. Measure from the end of the cuff to the other end. Do not measure from button to buttonhole. For French cuffs, measure on the inside piece (as shown in pic). Round your measurement to the nearest 0.25″.
For example, this shirt below measures 9.5″ at the cuff.
